Above All Else

I’m spending some time today preparing a talk I’m giving this coming Thursday called “Above All Else.”  It is based on King Solomon’s directive in Proverbs 4:23–“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Of all of the wisdom imparted by King Solomon, this is the one piece of wisdom that is preceded with “above all else”.  As I prepare the talk, I’m asking God to help me remember this very truth as it is so easy to insert all sorts of other things ahead of “above all else”.
